Nicole Frederick currently holds the position of Lead Systems Engineer at Blue Origin, based in the Greater Seattle Area. Since joining the company in 2019, she has taken a leading role in the creation and management of the New Glenn program framework for standard revision and adoption. Her responsibilities also include coordinating with Air Force and Space Force customers for deliverables and design review presentations. Nicole Frederick accumulated diverse engineering experience during her tenure at Honeywell Aerospace, spanning from 2013 to 2019 in the Phoenix, Arizona Area. Her roles included Rotational Engineer positions in Product Integrity, Advanced Manufacturing Engineering New Product Development, and Mechanical Systems Structures and Dynamics, as well as Project Engineer. One notable project she led was the HTF 7000 (Turbofan Engine) Modular Build Project, where she served as the Foundational Project Tooling Lead. Nicole’s rotations gave her a robust foundation in various aspects of aerospace engineering, from product integrity to advanced manufacturing.

Educational Background

Nicole Frederick earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University, where she studied from 2010 to 2014. Prior to her college education, she attended Ballard High School, where she completed her diploma from 2006 to 2010. Her comprehensive educational background has equipped her with a solid blend of engineering principles and management strategies, forming a strong foundation for her career in aerospace engineering.

Early Career and Internships

Before fully venturing into her engineering career, Nicole Frederick gained valuable experiences through various internships. She interned as a Project Engineer at Skanska USA Building Inc. and at Honeywell Aerospace in 2012 and 2013, respectively. She also worked as a Remote Solar Systems Designer for Gen110 and had brief internships at Microsoft and Seattle Northwest Securities. These early roles, located primarily in the Greater Seattle Area and San Francisco Bay Area, allowed Nicole to develop a well-rounded skill set in project engineering and system design.
