Ngozi Nwabueze, Esq. fondly known as the ‘Mother-In-LAW’ of businesses, is a forward-thinking Legal Practitioner dedicated to revolutionizing the legal industry in Africa through technology-driven solutions. She is the CEO/Founder of PocketLawyers.io, an innovative all-in-one legal tech infrastructure helping Lawyers digitize their practise. She is also the Founder/Managing Partner at PocketLawyers LP, a leading Virtual Law Firm which offers legal services and advisory to businesses and has offered services to over 250 businesses in the last three years. Ngozi earned her law degree from the University of Lagos and was called to the Bar in 2008. She has over 15 years’ experience advising businesses. With a deep passion for empowering Lawyers, improving access to justice, Ngozi identified the challenges faced by Lawyers in traditional legal practices and embarked on a mission to create PocketLawyers.io, for Lawyers to showcase their offerings and accept payments from a diverse global audience. It’s no-code website enabling Lawyers establish digital storefronts, generate invoices, manage briefs effortlessly whilst applying AI to document generation. Ngozi is an Alumni of the Scalabl Academy, Future Females Business School Programme (2021) and the Enterprise Development Centre, Pan-Atlantic University (EDC) (2023). She was top 20, selected from over 420 female Founders across Africa to participate in the Future is Female Programme (2023). She was also selected top 10 out of over 1,000 Applicant to the Standard Chartered/EDC Women-In-Tech Programme (Cohort 4) 2023. Her work has earned her features on Forbes, Africa.com, Disrupt Africa, TechCabal and many more. She has been interviewed on Arise Tv, TechTurks and more. She is a member of eTrade for Women Communities by UN Trade and Development (UNCTAD). She is a distingushed event moderator/host and also a highly sought-after Speaker, preaching the “gospel” of the need to create legal structure in business. In the last two years, she has spoken at over 25 events including the Startup Festival 2022, Lagos Business School Tech Founders Summit 2023, Africa NXT 2023 and ADIS Lagos Edition, 2024; impacting over 5, 000 Entrepreneurs across Africa. Ngozi is on the Advisory Board of a couple of Startups. She is also a Startup Law Coach and a Mentor to a lot of young Lawyers. She is an advocate for the inclusion of Startup/Tech Law in the University curriculum. She is currently building what will be the future of how legal service will be offered and accessed on the African continent and the world over.
