Heather Hutchison holds a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University, where she studied from 2007 to 2011. She also earned a Master of Science in Socio-Environmental Studies from the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (FLACSO) in Ecuador, focusing on gender equity in resource management and its impacts on deforestation in the Ecuadorian Amazon. Furthermore, she has certificates in International Development and Latin American Studies.
