About Adam B. Weiss
Adam B. Weiss is a complex commercial litigation and financial services partner in the Los Angeles office of Munger, Tolles & Olson. Adam specializes in representing corporations and individuals in their most sensitive, high-stakes matters at all stages of litigation, from pre-complaint assessment to and through trial. His practice spans a broad range of litigation matters, with particular focus on representing corporations and their officers and directors in cases involving corporate contracts and transactions, complex financial products, securities law issues, false advertising, finance-related matters, and general complex commercial litigation. He has extensive experience litigating clients’ most sensitive and important matters in federal and state courts from coast to coast, at all stages from pre-complaint assessment to and through verdict at trial. Most recently, by way of example, Adam has represented an industry-disrupting medical scrubs manufacturer and its co-founders against Lanham Act false advertising and state law intentional interference and unfair competition claims brought by the main industry incumbent, resulting in a full and complete defense verdict following a three-week federal jury trial in the Central District of California; has successfully represented Wall Street banks in courts across the country against multibillion-dollar claims arising out of the purchase and sale of complex financial products; and has represented a global business services and solutions company against fraud and breach of contract claims arising out of the sale of a portion of its business to a privately held investment firm. In all of these and his other matters, Adam relies on his deep litigation experience to advise and position clients to achieve the most favorable possible outcomes. In addition to his client work, Adam is actively involved in the community. Among other things, he serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Constitutional Rights Foundation and Public Counsel’s Leadership Council, and is involved with a number of other community organizations. He currently serves as a leader of the Los Angeles Working Group for the American Bar Association’s Judicial Intern Opportunity Program, and previously served (2019-2022) as co-chair of the Federal Practice Task Force of the American Bar Association’s Section of Litigation. Within the firm, he is one of the chairs of Munger Tolles’ recruiting committee.
