About Anthony H.
I'm a CISSP, CEH, and MBA Graduate of George Mason University. In the years that I have been in IT, I’ve been working to help companies be more secure without interrupting the business processes. In situations where you can have web applications with tens of thousands users, it’s critical to reduce the security risk while still paying attention to the business needs. What I’ve found is that having a wide background gives you a substantial advantage in security. I’ve worked as a hybrid web developer/sysadmin for several years. Because of that, I’ve gained extensive knowledge in PHP, C# .NET, and Python, as well as working in more of a DevOps role helping deploy software in a continuous integration pipeline in Windows using TFS. So I know when a change is needed to reduce the security risk, I know the code behind the changes and know how to make sure it is properly implemented. Being able to see security implemented from the ground up, through the code, through the server infrastructure, through the network, and through the business process allows me to create the right security controls that are needed to blend the bridge between security and usability. Specialties: Penetration Testing and vulnerability assessment (especially the OWASP Top 10), Python, C#, PHP, Metasploit, ESXi, Web Application Firewalls, Host and Network Based IDS/IPS, Data logging and auditing, Linux Security
