About Paul Wexler

I am an expert Python developer seeking a full-time telecommuting opportunity in which I can use my analytical skills, design experience, and deep understanding of Python to solve problems and develop quality software. Here are some links to open source projects I've developed. The code is in Python, and the documentation is in Restructured text or Markdown. https://pypi.python.org/pypi/simcm simcm.Simulate is a context manager which can simulate responses from external resources. Use this tool to develop unit tests which obtain complete coverage without using the external resource. https://pypi.python.org/pypi/vsav Easily save and restore files while preserving the access and modification times of the original file. https://pypi.python.org/pypi/s3 Python module (and CLI) which wraps AWS S3 REST API. It is used to upload/download files, manage their meta-data, and manage S3 buckets. It is YAML configurable and is a light weight alternative to using boto. In this project I learned AWS authentication and the general flavor of the AWS APIs. https://pypi.python.org/pypi/docutils_react_docgen docutils extension which converts react-docgen output to restructured text. I developed this plug-in as part of the effort to document and auto-document RexDB, an analyst configurable web framework. https://pypi.org/project/xml2py/ This package contains classes and functions which convert an XML object into a dict or DotDict. The DotDict is convenient for exploring the XML object interactively with the Python interpreter.
