I do a combinations of jobs in my lead role at BSC. As a software engineer with 20+ years experience I use technologies such as MS .Net, oracle, PERL, Korn Shell, SQL Server, and others to design and develop automation that processes incoming medical auhtorizations and loads them in to our authorization systems. This saves many 1000's of labor hours per year. As a tech lead, I work on project teams that are involved in enterprise wide projects that are changing or adding functionality to the authorization systems directly or systems that may interact with them. This helps to insure once changes are implemented we do not waste 100's or more hours trying to troubleshoot why a process or system is not working. I will also work with other developers that are working on an application and I will guide through requirements to ensure the resulting application or process meets the desired business needs. All of this adds value to BSC and more importantly for our members.
