A former child actor ("Sesame Street"), Carlota is an honors graduate of Wellesley College, Middlebury College Language School (Russian) & Indiana University-Bloomington Mauer School of Law. In '08, Carlota launched her boutique coaching practice, crafting personalized, sensitive strategies for ambitious clients determined to effectuate their goals. Previously, Carlota was a produced playwright and a network news journalist. She has lived & worked in Russia, India and China, and is fluent in Russian. She wrote her first play, "Man at His Best," at the age of 17. When she was 18, that play won Stephen Sondheim's Young Playwrights Festival, receiving a professional Off-Broadway production. It was favorably reviewed in the NY Times, New Yorker Magazine, and the Village Voice. It has received international productions. While in TV news, Carlota worked in the newsrooms of CNN, FOX, ABC, MSNBC & NBC in Russia, Washington, D.C. and NYC. Upon leaving network news, Carlota entered law school, receiving her juris doctorate in'07. Whilst a law student, Carlota served an internship with Sen. Hillary Clinton, & clerked for Judge Obus of the NY State Supreme Court. Carlota's articles have been published by ESPN, Yahoo!, XOJane, The Huffington Post, Thought Catalog, & Above the Law. Her professional advice is in heavy demand by media outlets such as New Yorrk Magazine, WSJ, PBS, NBC, Time, CNBC, CBS MoneyWatch, NY Times, NY1, Fox 5, Associated Press, Fatherly, Reader's Digest, Fast Company, Glassdoor, Ladders, NY Post, More, Bustle, AOL, More, Moneyish, Romper and Telemundo, among others.
