Horatiu Sasu has been with CD PROJEKT RED since 2017, initially serving as a UI Artist for nine months before transitioning to Acting Lead UX/UI Art for five months in 2018. He has held the position of Lead UX/UI Art since 2018, contributing significantly to the user experience of the studio's flagship games. His role involves overseeing the UX/UI design processes and ensuring that the visual elements align with user needs and expectations.
Education and Expertise
Horatiu Sasu studied Web Design and Development at SAE Institute in Amsterdam from 2010 to 2011. He also holds a Master’s degree in Advertising Design from West University of Timisoara, which he completed in 2010, and a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design from the same institution, achieved in 2009. His educational background provides a strong foundation for his expertise in graphic design and user interface design, which he has developed over more than a decade in the gaming industry.
Background
Before joining CD PROJEKT RED, Horatiu Sasu worked at Ubisoft as a UI Artist for five years, from 2012 to 2017. He also served as a Mentor in Graphic Design at DevAcademy in Bucharest from 2015 to 2017, where he guided aspiring graphic designers. Additionally, he has experience as a part-time Graphic Designer for The League of Romanian Students Abroad and collaborated with IM Smite as a Graphic Designer.
