Khalid MACHCHATE is a Moroccan Serial Techpreneur, Digital Transformation and Disruptive Technologies Expert, Investor, Policy Advisor and International Speaker. Khalid’s passion for building startup ecosystems stems from his own successful journey as a startup founder: Skillearn, a blended learning platform he exited later to an international foundation, as well as SOS Santé, an e-health hardware startup. All under K&W Technologies, a multinational consulting group specializing in digital transformation and disruptive technologies, with corporate and government clients across 70+ countries. Khalid currently serves as the Youngest Advisor to His Majesty the King Mohammed 6th under his "Royal Commission for the National Development", and is the first Forbes Africa 30 Under 30 Entrepreneur in the Maghreb Region, lead as regional director the Africa-to-Silicon Valley Acceleration Program DEMO Africa, helping African Startups raise over $80 MM. His policy making experience spans across several international engagements, including his expert participation during G20 mandates since 2018, managing several UN strategic and operational policy assignments with UNFP, UNICEF and UNESCO, working with GIZ on Entrepreneurship in MENA region , World Bank on Fintech and Financial Inclusion in Africa, he's "Davos Lab" co-lead at the World Economic Forum GSC, as well as Advisory Board Member of "Share Africa". He also lead the charge as Division Director for Innovation, Technology and Investment (MIH@UM6P) at the largest Phosphate and Fertilizer corporation worldwide: OCP Group. His Entrepreneurial and Policy Maker pedigrees aside. Holding a Masters Degree in Software and Embedded Systems Engineering, Khalid has a well proven on the ground strategic, technical and operational experience and track record as well, leading successfully as an international expert consulting and training projects for US & EMEA multinational corporations operating in Smart Cities & Mobility, Banking and Insurance, Industry 4.0, Telecom, FMCG, Venture Capital, Logistics... Projects that include Hardware/Software Product engineering and management, Digital Factory and Innovation Lab setup and Digital Transformation, Open Innovation and Tech Investment Portfolio due diligence. To his credit, he was won over twenty awards and was recognised for his thought leadership, and policy expertise around startups, technology, innovation and future of work by global institutions including the World Bank, WSA, Forbes, UN, WGS, Web Summit, and WEF.
