He studied at Magdalen College School Oxford, where he completed A-levels in Physics, Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry, and Biology from 2000 to 2008. He then attended Durham University, earning a Master of Physics (MPhys) degree in Physics from 2008 to 2012. Subsequently, he pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering at the University of Southampton from 2016 to 2020.

He worked at Ultra Electronics as a Graduate Engineer from 2012 to 2013, with roles in Greater London and Greenford, London. He also held a position as an Analyst at Sky from 2015 to 2016 in London. Following his time at Ultra Electronics, he worked at Ultra Electronics - CONTROLS as a Graduate Engineer for five months in 2013.
