Prior to his current position, Bill Taylor worked at CenterPoint Energy Gas Transmission Company, LLC in various roles from 2002 to 2011. He began as a Pipeline Integrity Engineer from 2002 to 2005, followed by a promotion to Senior Pipeline Integrity Engineer from 2005 to 2009. He then served as Manager of Integrity Assessment from 2009 to 2011. Throughout his tenure at CenterPoint, he participated in and led numerous PHMSA Pipeline Integrity audits, including integrated inspections, and was involved in establishing and validating Maximum Allowable Operating Pressures (MAOPs).
Education and Expertise
Bill Taylor holds a Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana Tech University, which he completed from 1976 to 1980. He furthered his education by obtaining a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from LSU Shreveport between 2002 and 2006. With over 34 years of experience in the energy sector, his expertise spans exploration and production, underground storage, gas distribution, pipeline operations and maintenance, engineering and project management, regulatory compliance, and pipeline safety or integrity.
