FIG-FinTech Investor, Operator, and Adviser on the buy and sell side, and across the spectrum of Private Capital (PE, VC, Corporate Venture, Growth Funds etc.,) on strategy, origination, transaction execution, capital raising, and value creation within the Financial Services, Software, and FinTech sectors. I lead EY's Private Equity, Venture Capital & Value Creation capability for Financial Services. This involves evaluating market trends, identifying and acquiring targets, and executing value creation plans in conjunction with Deal Teams, Operating Partners and Management Teams in a complex and regulated sector. My focus extends to supporting Private Equity and Venture Capital firms with portfolio performance improvement, growth strategy, M&A and scaling, and roles as an Operating and Venture Partner. I bring a holistic skill set from Private Equity and Ventures, and practical experience in Financial Services and Portfolio Companies, having held Senior Management positions. My role includes being an adviser to the UK Government and trade bodies on FinTech, investment, and growth capital. Prior work and publications include UK Capital Markets: Building on Strong Foundations in conjunction with UK Finance, Powerful Pensions: Unlocking DC Pension Capital for UK Tech Growth with the City of London, and the investment chapter of the Independent FinTech Strategic Review (Kalifa Review) commissioned by HM Treasury. I contribute regularly to thought leadership through industry forums, government reviews and the media on Financial Services and FinTech, especially on the importance of growth capital. Most recently I have worked on the Mansion House Compact and facilitating investment into Private Markets.
