Hannah Ashmore completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations at the University of South Carolina-Columbia from 2013 to 2017. She later pursued a Master of Social Work (MSW) at Georgia State University, which she completed in 2023. During her studies, she also participated in Semester At Sea, where she studied during her junior year of undergraduate college at the University of Virginia.

Involvement in Social Work and Research

In addition to her role at Feeding America, Hannah Ashmore is currently a Graduate Student in the Master of Social Work program at Georgia State University, which she has been attending since 2021. She is also serving as an MSW Student Intern at TurningPoint Breast Cancer Rehabilitation in Sandy Springs, Georgia. Her research efforts include surveying clients of food agencies to better understand and combat food insecurity.

Entrepreneurial Experience

Hannah Ashmore co-founded Amani Ya Juu (Peace from Above), where she served as a Co-Founder/Developer from 2013 to 2018. This initiative focused on empowering women through economic development and social justice. Her involvement in this organization reflects her commitment to community engagement and social impact.
