Previous Experience in Health Administration
Connie Chong has extensive experience in health administration. She worked at the College of Opticians of British Columbia as Registrar/Executive Director from 2007 to 2018. Prior to that, she served as Project Manager for the National Public Awareness Campaign at the Opticians Council of Canada from 2009 to 2011. Additionally, she was the Communications Lead at Emerging Health Leaders from 2010 to 2012.
Education and Professional Development
Connie Chong has pursued various educational qualifications in health administration and related fields. She obtained a Master of Health Administration (MHA) from The University of British Columbia between 2010 and 2012. She also achieved the Certified Health Executive designation from the Canadian College of Health Leaders in 2016. Furthermore, she completed her training as a Birth Doula through Dona International in 2018.
Community Involvement and Volunteer Work
Connie Chong actively participates in community service. She volunteers with the YWCA, mentoring high school girls to develop their leadership skills and personal growth.
