About Adrian Larose

My (professional!) passions are learning, communicating and connecting. What are yours? As a smart, driven, bilingual (E/E/C) professional with an organized, direct and honest style that works in today's interconnected world, I value communication and make best use of technology. Whether you have reporting and research needs, or help to wrangle words and data to tell a story on a tight deadline, I can help - be it products for an expert Government of Canada audience or the general public. A career-in-a-paragraph (more by position, below): At Health Canada and the Public Health Agency (interesting timing!), I led a small team that helped enable the departmental and agency response to the COVID-19 crisis, starting just before the debut of remote work and adapting during the pandemic and the ensuing growth of the Department and the Agency. Previously, I was a Senior Policy Advisor in Strategic Policy at PSPC, writing the policy and related instruments for federal Vendor Performance Management. Before that, I led a team responsible for intellectual property and asset policy (we advised clients about tangible and intangible stuff!), and procurement policy, at ESDC. We advised staff and senior management throughout the 20,000-person Department on the options and risks related to their assets and purchasing. (Typical examples of files we gave advice on: academic social research, data, IT assets and vehicles.) And now, I have started as a Senior Advisor at Treasury Board Secretariat, providing advice to the Assistant Secretary on the quality of Shared Services Canada's submissions.
