Enterprise and Public Sector sales leader with strong experience building and leading direct sales, indirect sales, technical sales, business development and product development teams with a disciplined approach to exceeding results. The success of the teams I have led is based upon three key factors: People, Partnership and Performance. People are key to all organizations. The difference in cybersecurity is that a successful sales leader must hire people with the best balance of sales experience, cybersecurity knowledge, pipeline management skills, collaboration and grit! I have been fortunate to hire and lead such talented people. Partnership is more important today than ever before, and it is critically important to understand the focus areas, which for successful organizations consist of internal partnership, customer partnership and channel partnership. Internal partnership, specifically alignment, is the most important to me. To that end, I strive to ensure a strong sales alignment with engineering, product, marketing, sales operations and legal. Otherwise, it is incredibly difficult to focus on customer needs and become relevant to customers. While Performance, on the surface, is a fairly straightforward measurement, I focus on the leading indicators that will result in strong performance. Those indicators include account/territory planning, pipeline creation and activities to progress opportunities (close plan).
