Prior to joining IDEO, Daniel Tauber held several positions in the design field. He worked as a Senior Interaction Designer at ROLI for four months in London in 2014, followed by a similar role at Native Design for five months in 2015. Additionally, he served as Lead Interaction Designer at BMW Group for six months in 2015 in the Munich Area. His diverse experiences in these roles have equipped him with a broad skill set in interaction design.

Educational Background

Daniel Tauber has a comprehensive educational background in design and economics. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Industrial Design from Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, studying from 2005 to 2009. He also studied Visual Communication, Film & Television at Istanbul Bilgi University for one year in 2007. Furthering his education, he attended ECAL - Ecole cantonale d’art de Lausanne for Media and Interaction Design in 2008, and he completed a Master of Arts in Design Interactions at the Royal College of Art from 2012 to 2014. Additionally, he holds a degree in economics from Bayerische Akademie für Werbung und Marketing.

Research and Academic Involvement

In 2013, Daniel Tauber was a Visiting Researcher at MIT Media Lab for two months in Cambridge, MA. This experience allowed him to engage with cutting-edge research in media and technology. His academic pursuits have complemented his professional work, enhancing his understanding of the intersection between design, technology, and culture.
