Alonso Gomez is an Investment Officer at IFC-World Bank currently based in Bogota covering the Health and Education sectors in Colombia, Central America and the Caribbean. He has led several transactions in industries such as Healthcare Services, Pharmaceuticals, Education, Retail and Real Estate, both equity investments and debt financing. Alonso has also worked with the Venture Capital team at IFC structuring early-stage equity transactions. Prior to joining IFC, Alonso worked for 7 years in Management Consulting based in New York, advising companies in industries such as Beverages, Forestry, Manufacturing, Oil and Gas, Power and Real Estate in various countries across Latin America. Alonso graduated with honors in Economics from Tec of Monterrey and obtained an MBA degree with concentration in Finance and Private Equity from London Business School in May 2012.
