Brewer transitioned to the position of Creative Writer in 2020 and has been involved in live streams to promote the game MXM. Brewer's work includes updating the world bible, overhauling character descriptions, and localizing extensive dialogue for numerous characters.
Education and Expertise
Kieran Brewer studied at Key Largo Community College from 2005 to 2007, completing a two-year program. Brewer has developed expertise in creative writing, localization, and world-building through various roles in the gaming industry. This includes significant contributions to Live Action Role Playing Games (LARPs) and narrative development for video games.
Background
Before joining NCSOFT, Kieran Brewer gained experience in the gaming community as the Owner and Lead Writer for Hunter’s Moon, a Live Action Role Playing Game. In this capacity, Brewer built the game world from the ground up and managed events for 50 to 90 attendees. Brewer also served as Loremaster for the game Shattered, where responsibilities included writing the Setting Guide and creating short stories to engage players.
Achievements
Kieran Brewer has received recognition for storytelling and quality in writing. Brewer won the Storytelling Contest at Wyrd Con in 2015. Additionally, while working at Blizzard, Brewer earned multiple awards for Quality scores, including achieving the top Quality in the department during one quarter. Brewer also contributed to the Plot Team for Dying Kingdoms during its finale arc, showcasing a commitment to narrative development.
