Sukkeun Im currently serves as a Senior Research Scientist I at NWEA, a position he has held since 2019. In this role, he focuses on the application of Bayesian statistics to practical measurement problems. His work includes conducting simulations using a Constraint Based Engine (CBE) and engaging in linking studies, which involve evaluating form and anchor selection. He also presents his research findings at Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) meetings, contributing to the organization's research initiatives.

Prior to his current position, Sukkeun Im worked at Questar Assessment, Inc. as a Psychometrician from 2015 to 2017. His responsibilities included applying psychometric principles to assessment design and evaluation. He also held a position at NWEA as a Research Scientist II from 2017 to 2019, where he further developed his expertise in measurement and assessment.

Sukkeun Im has an extensive educational background in psychology and educational psychology. He earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Educational Psychology from The University of Kansas, where he studied from 2010 to 2015. Prior to that, he obtained a Master's Degree in Quantitative Psychology from Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) from 2005 to 2007. He also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Oklahoma, where he studied from 1997 to 2003, and a Master's in Educational Psychology from the same institution from 2008 to 2010.
