Background
Before joining ODI, Thomas Tanner held various positions in international development and climate policy. He worked as a Consultant for the Department for International Development (DFID) in 2005 and served as a Climate Change Policy Advisor at UNDP from 2003 to 2005. Tanner also worked as an Associate Professional Officer at DFID from 2002 to 2003 and as a Doctoral Scholar and Researcher on the BioAndes project at the University of Leicester from 1998 to 2002.
Achievements
Thomas Tanner co-authored a leading textbook on Climate Change and Development published by Routledge in 2014. He also edited a book on innovations in Disaster Risk Management published by Springer in 2017. Tanner published a book titled 'Resilience Reset' with Routledge, which focuses on resilience strategies.
