Josh Payne is an entrepreneur, venture capitalist, and startup advisor. Currently, he is a Co-Founder and General Partner at OpenSky Ventures where he invests in early-stage software/consumer startups. Previously, he was the Founder & CEO of StackCommerce (acquired by TPG) where he was a three-time finalist for the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Greater Los Angeles and recipient of the “Best CEO in LA” award by Comparably. Josh is also a Venture Partner at Amplify.LA, active angel investor in more than 30+ startups, and mentor to early-stage startups at Techstars and 500 Global. In addition, he is a featured conference speaker including: Affiliate Summit, Content & Commerce Summit, and The Next Web Conference. Josh also serves as Board Advisor to several commerce-focused companies. He is a husband, father of three, 2x Ironman triathlete, and avid-explorer. Josh earned his MBA from Duke University and his bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems from Indiana University.
