About James Green

I've run seven startups (all listed here on LinkedIn): four private, one public and a non-profit. All but the current projects (which are still growing) have had exits. Sales and Marketing is my sweet spot: growing revenue, building teams and exceeding expectations. Sales needs marketing like infantry needs air support. I've done both. As with most people who have had a "C" in their title, I have experience running all aspects of a company, from starting it, raising funds, hiring people, creating corporate culture, building products, managing tech teams - both local and remote (before that was a think), selling, marketing + PR, working with professional services such as lawyers, accountants, auditors and bankers of all colors. And of course creating, joining, collaborating and working with a Board of Directors. Indeed I've been on the board of several companies and so have experienced Board life from both points of view. I've raised about $200 million in my career including debt and every flavor of equity imaginable. I am extremely fit and active - it helps me think, stay sharp and sleep well. I play squash 3-4 times a week and spend the same amount of time in cross training trying to keep my body balanced and strong.
