Aasawari Kulkarni is currently an Assistant Professor at the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, Rhode Island. In addition, she works as a Graphic Designer for Penguin Random House. Her roles involve teaching and producing graphic design work, respectively.

Aasawari has an extensive work history, which includes time as a Faculty member in Communication Design at the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design in 2020-2021. She also briefly worked at Ginkgo Bioworks, Inc. in Boston as a Graphic Designer in 2020. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the Maryland Institute College of Art, she served for seven months during 2020. Aasawari was also a Design Intern at Pentagram for three months in New York in 2019 and at Indian Type Foundry as a Type Designer for seven months in Ahmedabad in 2017-2018. Other roles include working as a Content Writer for Indospirit Group and as a Graphic Designer for AMARRASS RECORDS INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED in Delhi.

Educational Background

Aasawari Kulkarni earned her Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Graphic Design from the Maryland Institute College of Art, where she also received a certificate in college teaching in art. She studied from 2018 to 2020. She holds a Bachelor of Design in Communication Design from the National Institute of Fashion Technology Delhi, completed between 2013 and 2017.
