Lakshman Teja earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Biotechnology, Zoology, and Chemistry from P.R. Govt. Degree College, Kakinada, affiliated with Andhra University, from 2003 to 2006. He furthered his education by obtaining a Master’s Degree in Bioinformatics from the University of Madras between 2006 and 2008. His foundational education includes completing high school at Lutheran High School, Peddapuram.

He has experience with Whole Clinical Exome, Whole Clinical Genome, Human Mitochondrial, and Human Gut Microbiome data using Oxford Nanopore Sequencing Technologies.
