About Veronika Kitsul πΊπ¦
Hello! I am Veronika Kitsul, a sophomore at Princeton University studying Computer Science, with a particular interest in distributed systems, security and privacy, blockchain, networking, and software-hardware interface. I love working with data and figuring out non-trivial problems. As a first-generation low-income international student from Ukraine, I am a strong proponent of equal educational opportunities and generating social impact. I am passionate about privacy and security-enabling software. As a senior in high school, I researched privacy-preserving trigger-action platforms under the supervision of Kevin Liao at MIT and am currently taking Cybersecurity 101 with CodePath. I have extensive experience working with data: from data collection and data analysis to visualization and effective communication. Three years ago, I founded TurBOTa, where I led a team of eight volunteers to develop a database of 500+ companies to inform society about cruelty-free products available in Eastern Europe. I was also the co-editor in chief for the official telegram channel of Verkhovna Rada, the Ukrainian Government legislative branch, where I have managed official communication in the English language since the start of the Russian invasion. I am happy to tackle challenges in cybersecurity, electrical and computer engineering, software development, data or investigative journalism, data science, and beyond.
