Career in the United States Air Force

Wayne's career in cybersecurity began with a long tenure in the United States Air Force. He held several positions, including Chief, Future Offensive Cyber Warfare Operations at the Air Force Space Command (AFSPC) from 2013 to 2016 and Chief, Cyber Weapons & Tactics at the 50th Operation Support Squadron from 2011 to 2013. His roles also included Manager of Incident Response / Intrusion Analysis at the 92nd Information Operations Squadron from 2008 to 2011 and Executive Officer at the Air Force Materiel Command from 2006 to 2007. Additionally, Wayne served as a Communications Technician and Military Training Leader for 12 years, starting in 1992.

Educational Background in Cybersecurity

Wayne Johnson has a strong educational background in cybersecurity and information technology. He earned a Master’s Degree in Information Technology with a focus on Information Assurance and Security from American Military University in 2013. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Troy University, which he completed in 2003. His academic achievements have greatly contributed to his expertise in cybersecurity.
