About Milana Stetsenko
I have recently finished my Bachelor's in Data Science and Machine Learning at Minerva University. Over the course of four years, I have studied in Asia, Europe, and the Americas where I took school courses and intern with governments, startups, and non-profits to make an impact on the community. I am interested in Product Management and Machine Learning. I have always been excited to bring value to people around me through social projects and businesses. My motivation came from living in a small town in Eastern Europe and seeing how much potential is not used in natural resources, knowledge, and most importantly, people themselves. As a part of the teams, I have created some educational NGOs and a tech sustainable production while in high school and on my gap year. Only in university, I have discovered the power and scale that technology can create, therefore, now I find myself in the exciting industry of computer science. My journey has been a discovery of where my biggest interests lie. I learned Swift with Code Path courses and then interned for a Korean startup TIPP to help them build an animated iOS app login page. After, I continued with some more academic applications of Data Science and Statistics in R, and Python, where I analyzed the causes of civil wars, predicted the required vaccine rates for COVID-19, and predicted housing prices based on the conditions of the property. Data Science has helped me find Machine Learning, so I took some courses and built my first machine learning model to predict the future complications in pregnancies and generate traditional Ukrainian embroidery patterns. I have been interning at MarkLogic and Revenue Grid where I get to combine both of my interests: product management and data. I hope to engage in work that allows me to be a part of a decision-making team and build products and services for others.
