About Angel M. Baker, Esq.
With a focus on social justice and inclusivity, I teach English, Political Science, and Law at various universities in the Los Angeles area. I am a licensed California attorney and continue to practice law on a freelance basis, particularly favoring small businesses and businesses run by women. I have been a board member and grant writer for a reputable non-profit organization that focused on Adaptive Sports Therapy and have produced events for nonprofits like WriteGirl and The VAD foundation (as well as the 2015 Elle Magazine women in music event). My writing focuses on modern inequities such as institutionalized poverty and misogyny. I received the 2019 Academy of American Poets Prize selected by Poet Anna Journey and have had poems published in various journals.
