Previous to this, she completed a General Surgery Residency Program at University of Southern California's Department of Surgery from 2005 to 2009. She has a PhD in Medicine from University of Córdoba, Spain, achieved in collaboration with University of Cambridge, UK, from 1983 to 1985.
Early Career and Training
Angeles Baquerizo started her medical education at the School of Medicine, University of Córdoba in Spain, where she completed her Medical Studies for Licensure in Medicine from 1977 to 1983. She further specialized in General and Digestive Surgery, earning her qualification from the same institution between 1983 and 1990. Additionally, she served as a Graduate Research Fellow at University of Cambridge, Department of Surgery for one year and was an Assistant Lecturer at University of Córdoba's Department of Surgery from 1984 to 1990.
