Ayan Ray serves as the Senior Staff Solution Architect at Lyve Cloud division of Seagate. Lyve Cloud is an s3-compatible-storage-only cloud designed to help enterprises extract more value out of data. Lyve offers privacy, no lock-in and no egress fees and enables customers to retain full control of their data. Ayan Ray is leading the architecture to enable Analytics on top of Seagate Lyve Cloud. Ayan Ray engages with Enterprises during pre-sales cycle to architect the appropriate data strategy which helps to optimize performance and reduce the Total Cost of Operations without compromising on any SLAs and compliances. Post sales, Ayan Ray works with enterprises to migrate Petabyte scale data warehouses and data lakes to Lyve cloud. In the process, he also advices customer to implement best practices in data quality, data processing, data analytics and data serving areas. Prior to Seagate, Ayan Ray served as the Director of Engineering for Noodle.ai, an Enterprise AI company funded by DELL and TPG. Noodle.ai’s product uses Flow Operations, Machine learning, explainable AI and human centered design to reduce the operational entropy across Supply chain and manufacturing domains. Noodle.ai’s vision and consistent growth has helped it secure $70M+ investment from TPG capital, Dell, Mitsubishi, SMS and others. The company won awards such as Top 10 companies to work for (Linkedin), Forbes “Top 50 most promising AI companies” and Gartner cool vendor. At Noodle.ai, Ayan Ray was the Engineering Leader of Supply Chain suite of products and also served as the Guild leader of Backend Engineering in the company. Ayan Ray was one of the first Engineers to join Noodle.ai and has been an active contributor in its growth from $0 to $300M+ valuation. His architectural and management skills have helped the supply chain product to scale from a pilot to MVP and now to 100+ planners, 10K + brands and multi million dollar of Annual recurring revenue. He was awarded the Noodle brain award in 2019 as a recognition of his thought leadership skills. Ayan Ray is an advocate, writer and practitioner of data engineering, big data, domain driven design, clean architecture, software design principles and function as a service on both private and public cloud. Prior to Noodle.ai, he worked in companies like Infosys Limited, LnT Infotech and RS Software.
