Previous Experience at VSO
Before joining Sightsavers, Ronnie Stapleton worked at Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO) as a Special Needs Education (SNE) Adviser from 2013 to 2016. During his three years at VSO, he was involved with the SNE Department within the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Sports in Kampala. His role focused on enhancing educational strategies and support for individuals with special needs.
Education and Expertise
Ronnie Stapleton holds a Master of Science in Development Management from The Open University, which he completed from 2011 to 2014. He also earned a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Primary Education from the University of Warwick in 1985. Additionally, he has a Bachelor of Arts in History with German from the University of Sussex, obtained from 1979 to 1983. He furthered his studies with a Certificate in Missional Ecclesiology from the School of the Word in Manchester between 2009 and 2011.
