Skylark Wireless
Skylark Wireless designs and manufactures Massive MIMO radio solutions to bridge the digital divide, offering high-speed, non-line-of-sight connectivity over large areas with their proprietary Faros® platform.
Skylark Wireless Services
Skylark Wireless designs and manufactures Massive MIMO radio solutions to bridge the digital divide. The company offers a variety of products including analog radio front-ends and distributed fronthaul components for custom MIMO radio platforms. Additionally, Skylark Wireless's Faros® Radio Access Network (RAN) Hub provides clock and time synchronization for scalable Massive MIMO systems. Furthermore, the Iris software-defined radio (SDR) platform is ideal for wireless research and rapid prototyping.
Skylark Wireless Products
Skylark Wireless's proprietary Faros® last-mile radio platform provides high-speed, point-to-multi-point (PtMP), non-line-of-sight (NLoS) links over tens of miles. The Faros® system supports spectrum from 100 MHz to 6 GHz and can be endlessly upgraded once deployed. The Faros® Remote Radio Head (RRH) units are available for various frequency bands including CBRS, EBS/BRS, Low-UHF, and Broadband. Additionally, the Faros® Consumer Premises Equipment (CPE) is a software-defined radio subscriber unit for Massive MIMO systems.
Massive MIMO Technology
Faros® implements true Massive MIMO beamforming to drastically increase the coverage range of networks. The system can support up to 40 MHz of bandwidth, with each sector providing up to 2 Gbps of aggregate capacity and up to 32 spatial streams. Deployments using Faros® can connect point-to-multipoint (PtMP) over 1,000 square miles from a single tower with non-line-of-sight (NLoS) connectivity. Faros® scales to hundreds of radios per sector, adding more range and capacity with each additional radio.
Innovative Solutions for Rural Areas
Skylark Wireless designs solutions to transform the economics of serving rural areas by drastically lowering the cost per household served. Their Faros® system meets the speed requirements for various federal programs such as the Connect America Fund (CAF), USDA ReConnect, and FCC Rural Digital Opportunity Fund (RDOF) for low-latency deployments. As a result, Skylark Wireless's products provide affordable access to education, commercial opportunities, healthcare, and entertainment in underserved areas.
Skylark Wireless Hardware
All of Skylark Wireless's category-defining hardware is designed and assembled in the USA. The systems are engineered to survive harsh environments with outdoor-rated equipment and built-in lightning protection. Skylark Wireless's distributed Radio Access Network (RAN) architecture reduces self-interference and improves cell-edge performance. Their software-defined systems are designed to work with existing infrastructure and evolve with new regulations and requirements.
