About Anna Ballew O'connell
Trained as a scientist, I spent the last 12 years at a large research institution running a biomedical graduate program. I advised biomedical graduate students, trained faculty in mentoring, and advocated to improve student mental health and the training climate. I now work as a consultant leading workshops and trainings about these same issues. I also regularly write about current issues in graduate education.
