Current Role at The Women's Network

Sophia Hilsabeck serves as the President of The Women's Network, a position she has held since 2021. In this role, she leads a team of 150 swimmers, ranging in age from 4 to 18. Her responsibilities include developing and implementing a rigorous training regime for the swimmers, which consists of practice sessions five days a week. Hilsabeck also focuses on maintaining a fun and safe environment for swimmers returning to organized sports.

Previous Experience at The Women's Network

Prior to her current role, Hilsabeck worked at The Women's Network in various capacities. She served as a Campus Ambassador for two months in 2020, followed by a four-month tenure as a National Intern in 2021. Additionally, she held the position of Vice President from 2020 to 2021, contributing to the organization's initiatives and programs during her time in leadership.

Education and Academic Background

Hilsabeck studied at the University of Southern California, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Policy from 2018 to 2022. Her academic background provides her with a solid foundation in policy analysis and public affairs. She completed her high school education at Las Lomas High School, obtaining her High School Diploma from 2014 to 2018.

Experience in Swim Coaching

Hilsabeck has extensive experience in swim coaching. She worked as a Swim Camp Leader for both the Indian Valley Swim Team and Springbrook Swim Team in 2020. In this role, she was responsible for training junior coaches and improving swimmers' techniques across all four swimming strokes. Additionally, she served as a Private Swim Instructor from 2017 to 2020, providing personalized coaching to young swimmers.

Internship Experience

In addition to her roles at The Women's Network, Hilsabeck gained valuable experience through internships. She interned at RTGR Law LLP in 2019 for three months, where she was exposed to legal practices. Furthermore, she worked as a Campaign & Project Management Intern at Flip the West in 2020 for three months, contributing to various projects and campaigns.
