Prior to that, he served as Executive Director at BSC Oregon from 2013 to 2016 and as Technical Director from 2008 to 2012. His experience also includes a role as Director of Soccer at Oregon Episcopal School from 2015 to 2016.

Scot Thompson has a background as a professional athlete, having played soccer for the Portland Timbers from 2004 to 2010 and for LA Galaxy from 2003 to 2004. He also served as an Assistant Coach for the Portland Thorns during 2014 to 2015. His athletic experience contributes to his expertise in sports marketing and leadership.
