He has a diverse background in professional soccer, coaching, and sports marketing, having held various leadership roles in organizations such as BSC Oregon, LA Galaxy, and Portland Timbers.

Scot Thompson serves as the Head of Engagement, Inclusion, & Culture at Thesis agency since 2021. In this role, he focuses on fostering a diverse and equitable work environment. He oversees the Thesis DEI Committee, advising teams to ensure that diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives achieve strong results. Additionally, he manages external relationships and community partnerships, representing Thesis in matters related to DEI.
Previous Experience in Sports Management
Before joining Thesis, Scot Thompson held several significant positions in sports management. He worked at adidas as a Senior Sports Marketing Manager for Soccer from 2016 to 2021. Prior to that, he served as Executive Director at BSC Oregon from 2013 to 2016 and as Technical Director from 2008 to 2012. His experience also includes a role as Director of Soccer at Oregon Episcopal School from 2015 to 2016.
Professional Athlete Background
Scot Thompson has a background as a professional athlete, having played soccer for the Portland Timbers from 2004 to 2010 and for LA Galaxy from 2003 to 2004. He also served as an Assistant Coach for the Portland Thorns during 2014 to 2015. His athletic experience contributes to his expertise in sports marketing and leadership.
