Hi! I’m Areena 👋🏾 I’m driven by projects that elevate the human experience. I care about creating immersive technical solutions that are accessible and impactful. I prioritize the user’s emotional and functional needs throughout my design process, leveraging data to decide what (and how) I will build. I'm looking for internships from January to August 2023 in software development, solving complex engineering problems across the stack. I'm driven by projects where I'm using AI, algorithms, and user-centred development to make life better. In the past, I've spearheaded the development of reusable and robust component system at startups, and written UI components in React and C++/QML. I've also built enterprise web apps using Python Django and PHP/Twig. As a software engineering student, I'm learning how to write scalable code across the stack at direct to consumer companies with an impact. I'm also passionate about SoulCycle, yoga, running, and reversing the stigma around women in computing. I'd love to get a coffee and chat.
