About Elizabeth Polk

I am an entrepreneur, media and tech exec, film finance specialist and advisor with experience in senior executive positions at privately- and publicly-held companies. I am proud to be an authentic, inclusive leader with a demonstrated ability to retain and attract diverse talent and develop new leaders. As a co-founder, myself, I am also inspired by and serve as an advisor to founders of color and women entrepreneurs. Formerly, the head of business & legal affairs for the Independent Film and Documentary Film divisions at Netflix, Inc. When I joined the company in 2013, I oversaw business affairs, legal and led strategies across several content portfolios, including international film, young adult and family film, anime, independent film and documentary film. I was part of the team that launched the streaming platform in 130+ new markets in 2016, I was an early architect of the film studio, led and scaled teams in the US and UK to support the creation of content around the globe and developed deal formulas that synergize traditional and non-traditional entertainment business and finance models. Today, I am co-founder & CEO of Speir Pilates with Andrea Speir, a leading pilates innovator. We aim to make a healthy lifestyle accessible and fun through high quality Pilates classes, serve as a positive influence on the wellness industry and build a supportive and inclusive community of clients and fitness professionals. We are also training and certifying a pipeline of pilates instructors that share our values through our teacher training programs. I have been featured in publications, including Shape Magazine, for my purpose-driven leadership and I am looking to continue to influence this space.
