About Ricardo Cevada

Hello, my name is Ricardo Abimelec. I am an entrepreneur who seeks to solve local, regional and global problems with high impact technology and creativity. My brother and I co-founded Skills For Industry to develop, reskill, and upskill the digital talent that Mexico and LATAM need. In my entrepreneurial career I have also co-founded: Artesano Digital, AB Solutions and Diabetes U. I have studied at MIT Professional Education, ITESM, Babson College in Boston and Entrepreneurship School in Malaga, Spain. I have also the opportunity to represent the Mexican youth in the Forum for Cooperation, Understanding and Solidarity between US and Mexico at Stanford University and Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM), where I won the outstanding delegate presentation with my Diabetes U team. I have been fortunate enough to share my experience at Aldea Digital 2016 (the Biggest Digital Inclusion Event of the World), and at the INCmty 2016 and 2017 (the largest Entrepreneur Festival in Latin America). During INCmty 2015, we won the national contest “Reto Naranya” with the Startup Joinite, which was selected to be accelerated at Startup Studio Monterrey. Currently, I form part of the network of the Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative (YLAI); I collaborated with the nonprofit Partners In Health from Harvard Medical School in Chiapas, Mexico. I was also a UN Ambassador for My World Mexico 2030 to promote Sustainable Development Goals. I studied medicine for 4 years at ITESM National School of Medicine, during which time I founded and chaired as president of the student group: Emergency Medical Response Network (RREM). In addition, I participated as a Generation Representative and developed the CardioProTEC program. In conclusion, I enjoy new opportunities, fulfilling new projects, as well as obtaining and sharing knowledge. You are always welcome to reach me at: ricardo@skillsforindustry.org
