About Wayne Stacy
After 20+ years as a Big Law intellectual-property lawyer and adjunct law professor, I now focus my efforts on public service and expanding the benefits of innovation across the country. During my private-practice career, I advised individuals and companies of all sizes—from VC-backed startups to the Fortune 50—on critical patent, trade secret, and copyright matters. I draw on this broad business experience to help innovators of all types and sizes take advantage of the U.S. intellectual property system. Several international publications—including Chambers, Intellectual Asset Management (IAM), and Super Lawyers—have listed me as one of the country's top patent litigators. I was also honored as an "IP Trailblazer" by the National Law Journal. For the last two decades, I have taught Patent Law, Patent Litigation, PTAB litigation, and Copyright Law at four major law schools, including the University of California Berkeley; University of California Hastings; University of Colorado; and the University of Denver.
