Rae has also managed English language term approval and coordination for the popular series Dragon Ball (Super) in the United States. Additionally, Rae edited Viz's first French to English manga, Radiant, and was responsible for the editorial process of the monthly release schedule for the manga Haikyu!!, overseeing 30 volumes.

Rae First studied at Lafayette College from 2010 to 2014, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Film and Media Studies. Rae also has expertise in creating training materials for editors using Indesign and Photoshop, aimed at streamlining the editorial process for serializations. Rae First has a background in the manga and anime industry, having interned at Tezuka Productions in Tokyo during the summer of 2013. Additionally, Rae interned at Anime News Network from 2013 to 2014 for eight months, gaining valuable experience in the field. Rae also completed a two-month internship at LD Entertainment in Los Angeles in 2013. These experiences have provided Rae with a solid foundation in the industry.
