About Jason De Crow

As an award-winning freelance photojournalist with over 20 years of industry experience, my passion is providing impactful, storytelling images to meet the coverage needs of my clients - and always on deadline. Beginning my career at Newsday in 2002 before moving to Associated Press in 2005, I have spent half my life covering the full spectrum of news, sports and entertainment events that New York City has to offer. Through everything from Knicks games and air guitar championships to social justice protests and Hurricane Sandy, I have honed a set of skills, both technical and creative, that allow me to provide superior photojournalism even under the most challenging of circumstances. The experience I've garnered from my years as a photojournalist has also served me well in the realm of corporate and PR event photography. Throughout an over 15-year relationship with AP Images Content Services, I have met and exceeded the photo coverage needs of a vast array of major brands and public relations firms. My documentary-style approach to event photography coupled with exceptional customer service skills are the cornerstones of my success in this field. The ability to quickly identify and capture moments that encapsulate the meaning and emotion of any situation has also been instrumental in driving the third aspect of my career - providing unit still photography for film and television. Beginning in 2015, through my relationship with Discovery, Inc. I've had the privilege of providing unit photo coverage for a diverse group of projects across multiple Discovery platforms that drive engagement and enthusiasm through editorial and social channels. As a multi-faceted imaging professional, I'm always excited to connect with clients and determine how I can best meet their photography needs. I look forward to being in touch.
