At Let Grow we aim to restore childhood resilience by fighting the push to overprotect. Today's kids are smarter and safer than our culture gives them credit for. Yet we've been brainwashed into thinking they are in terrible danger every single second, and thus must be "helicoptered." This is not doing them any favors. Childhood anxiety and depression are on the rise. So are diabetes, obesity and "fragility." Our own childhoods prove that having free time to explore, play, think, solve problems, get lost, discover our interests and find our own way served us well by providing a foundation of resourcefulness and confidence. Our kids deserve the same freedom to thrive. Let Grow is making it easy and normal for parents to give their kids back a childhood.
