Stripes is a U.K. based initiative whose purpose is to create opportunities and expand horizons, for people from diverse backgrounds, across the creative industries. We believe that from the difference and diversity of people, teams and communities, comes true creativity and innovation; without diversity our industries cannot truly be creative or innovative. Additionally, the brands and consumers we work with are, increasingly, from a more diverse demographic and the companies that service them should also be reflective of this. There are currently a number of movements and initiatives in process to resolve gender-balance equality in the creative industries, there are very few to address imbalance in Black and Minority Ethnic (BAME) groups in the creative industries. We believe the creative industries needs 'people of all stripes'. Stripes aims to create greater BAME representation, across all levels, within these industries.
