About Jonathan Colon

My name is Jonathan A. Colon and I am a first generation Latino/Puerto Rican college student. I am the son of a single mother, the eldest out of two brothers, and a New York City native born in Manhattan and raised in the South Bronx who is currently pursuing an MS in Economic Analysis with a BBA in Finance, Economics, and Financial Planning at the Koppelman School of Business/ Brooklyn College CUNY. I am the founder of the Koppelman School of Business/ CUNY Brooklyn College Investment Club and I am 1 of 3 delegates from Brooklyn College currently representing over 500,000 students throughout CUNY on the University Student Senate. My hobbies include reading, writing/storytelling, illustration, poetry, chess, debating, puzzle-solving and some of my particular topics of interest include macroeconomics, asset management, investment banking, financial modeling, private equity, ESG, and alternative investments in particular collectables. Additional ventures and Initiatives include the Goldman Sachs Insight Series program, the 2022 data analytics micro-credential program provided by Ever-up, The Inaugural FirstGenU program provided by America Needs You, several workshops provided by the Inaugural CUNY Futures in Finance summer accelerator program and a summer bootcamp program provided by the Artificial Intelligence Finance Institute.
