About Katherine Zimmerman

An engineer and energy aficionado, I have worked across the spectrum of energy and materials markets for more than 15 years. A process engineer by discipline, I always believe there is an engineering solution in the answer to some of the world’s greatest challenges. From developing a patented process to use shale produced water for solution mining to investing time and focus into decarbonization and delivering energy transition, I have committed my career to finding a way. I have been honored to be named one of the industry’s Top 50 women in hydrogen by the Hydrogen Economist and a Woman Who Means Business by the Houston Business Journal. A proud Houston native, I am excited by the opportunities Texas has to become the world’s leaders in energy transition and believe the abundance of new energies we’re developing to achieve net-zero will change the face of industry in the next decade. I am particularly passionate about clean energy solutions– helping the world’s energy companies effectively deliver major clean hydrogen and carbon capture projects – as well as decarbonizing existing oil and gas activities. In my role at Wood, we’re designing the future one project at a time.
