Antonia Gawel serves as the Head of Climate Action and Deputy Head of the Centre for Public Goods at the World Economic Forum. She is also a member of the Executive Committee. Before joining the World Economic Forum, Antonia Gawel worked at the World Business Council for Sustainable Development as a Programme Officer for Energy & Climate from 2006 to 2008 and later as Deputy Director for Energy & Climate from 2009 to 2010. She also held the position of Senior Energy Technology Policy Analyst at the International Energy Agency from 2010 to 2012. Additionally, she contributed to the Young Canadian Leaders for a Sustainable Future Programme at the International Institute for Sustainable Development in 2006.
Educational Background
Antonia Gawel studied at the London School of Economics and Political Science, where she earned a Master of Science in Environmental Policy and Economics. She also holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Toronto. Her educational background supports her expertise in climate action and sustainable development.
