John Fann's Professional Background
John Fann initiated his postdoctoral career with StemCell Technologies in Vancouver. He then contributed significantly to Seattle Genetics during its early years, where he established the upstream function and achieved the first technology transfer and clinical manufacturing for Seagen. Following this, he joined the AbbVie Bioresearch Center, where he held multiple leadership roles in Process Sciences and Manufacturing Science and Technology (MS&T).
John Fann's Achievements in Biopharmaceuticals
John Fann has been instrumental in launching and scaling up several commercial biotherapeutics, notably including the blockbuster drug Humira. At Bristol Myers Squibb, he led microbial process development as the head of MS&T and Bioprocess Development. He further advanced global new technology development in his role as VP of Bioprocess R&D at AGC Biologics.
