About Jason Yow
A number of years ago while preparing for a job interview, I pondered the question of what I wanted from my next career move. I remember surprising myself by answering aloud – with clarity and conviction – “I want to help people”. What did “help people” mean? And could I do that working for “just another tech company”? In that instant those questions struck me. And they haven't left me since. Jason means "healer" in Greek, so perhaps that's why I'm particularly drawn to teams that are helping people during real moments of need. At its highest levels, the desire for my career is to promote life, improve physical/mental health… even prevent unnecessary death. And "helping people" absolutely extends to those I work with whether that's developing career goals with my team, collaborating cross-functionally to improve our SDLC (software development lifecycle), or just building up relationships with colleagues that also place a high value on kindness, respect, and trust. When I come to work, I want to be inspired by our vision, eager to complete the mission, and proud of our team as WE help people.
